On Sunday 18th of March we have another ‘Maintenance Day’ planned. Tasks that need to be done include getting the Windmill ready for milling and the summer season, cleaning all floors, oiling the woodwork and tidying the shepherds hut. This year we also plan to do some hedge cutting on the west side of the site. If they are not cut soon the trees along this side will be large enough to restrict the air flow to the sails.
We are intending to start at 10.00 and finish hopefully by 4.30. Tea, coffee, buns, lunch and beer are all provided as an additional incentive. You will be very welcome even if you can only attend for an hour or so.
