A View of the Mill

Opening Times

The mill is a living museum, and the Wilton Windmill Society exists to ensure that the mill is available for the public to view.  The mill is open on Sundays and Bank Holiday Mondays between 2pm and 5pm from Easter to the end of September.  However we will always try and open the mill for special groups or events, although we are reliant on the availability of volunteers.

We are pleased to answer questions relating to the mill and its history, as well as hearing from people interested in helping the society with the running of the mill.

School Trips

The mill is an excellent site to visit as part of the school curriculum and we are able to offer educational support for both teachers and pupils. The mill can provide an insight into our history, industrial archaeology, the story of the harvest, science of forces in motion, the North Wessex Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty - all in a beautiful and peaceful location.

Special Parties

The mill is a great stop off for hikers, treasure hunters, vintage cars rallies, to name but a few. If you would like to use the mill as stop off for a picnic or to bring a group up for a tour or party then contact:
