The Pewsey Vale Trail

posted in: Things to do, Walking 0

What a fabulous walk!

This is a route that takes you from the centre of the village of Pewsey starting at Pewsey Heritage Centre, along the Kennet & Avon Canal, to Crofton Beam Engines  and then on to Wilton Windmill.

It contains some circular walks along the way and includes details of local places to stay and eat.

The smaller, circular walks all use public rights of way that are signposted.

If you are cycling (or walking) along the Kennet & Avon, then please have a look at their guidance for towpath etiquette.

You can drive, cycle or walk the route using the network of lanes south of the canal, but please take care as the roads can be narrow and often have walkers, cyclists and horseriders using them as well.

The leaflet is beautifully illustrated (by local artist, June Pearson MBE) with many of the landmarks and things to see along the route.
